November in Berlin machen.

What kind of start-ups can apply to GIIF?
GIIF stands for Green Innovation and Investment Forum. We connect start-ups and scientists who develop innovative green ideas with industry and investors. The green innovations present in our Forum have a positive effect on the environment and the economy. In the last five years we have seen business ideas from the field of classic environmental engineering, efficiency in material, energy and processes as well as innovations in renewable energies and sensor technology. The start-ups at GIIF are in an early phase and may have already a product or product idea, but might not have a market. You can find the criteria on our homepage.

Who are the organisers of GIIF and why is it international?
With this event Umwelttechnik BW GmbH, the State Agency for Environmental Technologies and Resource Efficiency, and partners established a platform and market place where innovative ideas in the fields of energy, green technology, and eco innovation can be discussed with relevant stakeholders from economy and finance—to finally stimulate further innovation and entrepreneurship.
Baden-Württemberg is the place where traditionally inventions have led to global businesses. Hidden and well known champions are placed in the region. We will continue this success story and connect international green start-ups with locally established companies and investors. Therefore, GIIF is the Forum where the Green Economy joins forces.

Why should a start-up apply to GIIF?
The start-ups and entrepreneurs love the tough Green Training Day, the day before the official pitching event and the great networking possibility. The Green Training day is like a boot camp where coaches take a good look on the business plan, patents and how green the idea really is. The feedback of the GIIF partners are very helpful to the start-ups. We have often seen huge developments from the training day pitch to the pitch in front of the audience and jury on pitching day. The forum is a great opportunity to connect with investors and companies and also amongst the start-ups. For sure we also offer prizes and a mentoring package for the winners of GIIF. We welcome your application soon on http://green-inno-forum.eu/.
